How to Apply

We are grateful for your interest in NMH Summer and look forward to helping you navigate the application process.

Our comprehensive process is designed to help our team and your family determine if our summer program is the right fit for your child. We use a web-based portal called Ravenna. Through Ravenna, you will be able to manage your child's application online. Once you have created an account, and selected a program type, you will see the required items in your 'to-do' list. For example, if you are applying for our ELI program you will need to submit the online application form, the online request for two teacher recommendations, and upload recent grades, a (head and shoulders) photo, and a copy of a government-issued ID (to confirm DOB and Nationality). A graded essay and TOEFL scores are required for international students who wish to apply for a non-ELI course or take L.E.A.D. (our outdoor leadership course) in the afternoons.

Application Timeline

The Admission process opens in mid-November and is rolling. All applicants must submit a new application in Ravenna for NMH Summer 2025. Decisions will be released on a rolling basis. We strongly encourage you to complete your application early as our program fills quickly.

For families seeking financial assistance, you must also submit a financial aid application via Clarity no later than 5 pm on February 16, 2025. See here for further guidelines on the financial aid process.

Step 1
Create or Access Your Ravenna Account - click here to begin

Step 2
Add or Review the Student Profile

In Ravenna, you will set-up a profile for your child/ren. If you already have a student profile in Ravenna, make sure their current grade and current school are accurate.

Step 3
Start the Application Process - In Ravenna, choose "Apply to School" and select "NMH Summer" from the school directory. After you click the green “Apply” button, select the student and your application type. This depends on the length of the program you desire and the grade of your child. Complete the remaining fields and click continue.

Step 4
Complete the Preliminary Application - Complete the Preliminary Application and pay the application fee in Ravenna. Our Admissions team will not be able to view any of your application materials until you submit the application fee. If this fee presents a financial hardship for your family, please let us know and we will provide a waiver code.

Step 5
Upload Important Documents - After you pay the application fee or submit a waiver code, you will see a list of required documents. Please follow the instructions for uploading documents and delegating teacher/tutor evaluations. Be sure to remind the teacher/tutor to check their spam/junk folder for the email from Ravenna if it's not in their inbox

Step 6
Application Review - After you have uploaded all required documents, your completed application will be reviewed. A member of the NMH Summer Admissions team will be in touch with you regarding next steps.
