The Financial Aid

The application deadline for NMH Summer financial aid is Feb. 16, 2025.

We offer limited financial aid for families based on demonstrated need and the availability of funds.
The vast majority of financial aid is reserved for domestic students.

Starting this year, in an effort to make the process more user-friendly, NMH Summer is now using the Clarity financial aid application system. The application process should take about 20 to 30 minutes to complete and is mobile-friendly, so you can do it on your phone or tablet. Your 1040 and W2 documents from 2023 will be automatically transferred from the IRS when you complete the verification step, so you will not need to upload those documents manually. To get started, go to the Clarity Application and create an account. If you do not complete the entire application at once, you can save your progress and return to it later. There is a $60 submission fee, and you can share your application with additional schools that accept the Clarity Application for no additional charge. 

Please remember to return to your dashboard after you complete and submit your Clarity application, as NMH Summer may require you to upload additional tax documentation (see below).

*Note to current NMH students - you do not need to submit an additional financial aid application for the summer. We can access your information through the academic year financial aid office.

*Incoming/ New NMH students (attending for the academic year) may not apply for financial aid for the summer in their first year (either before you start or at the end of your first year), but may apply the following year.

*All NMH students - eligible applicants may only receive financial aid for one summer.

Families in the U.S.

As part of the process, you will be asked to authorize the IRS to share your 2023 tax return directly with Clarity. Families who own businesses and international families will need to submit additional information, listed below. To do so, first complete and submit your Clarity application, then return to the dashboard to upload this additional tax information required by NMH:

• 2024 W2s/1099s or end-of-year pay stub

• 2023 and 2022 IRS 1040 tax returns, signed, with all tax schedules, statements,
  and W2s/1099s
  

Families who own a business

Please submit this additional information: 2023 and 2022 business tax returns and balance sheets (if you own any part in a farm, sole proprietorship, partnership, S-Corporation), IRS Schedule K-1, Form 1065, Form 1120, and/or Form 1120S.

International families

• Please submit this additional information:

• Notarized copy of your most recent income tax report

• Earnings statement from your employer

• Three (3) consecutive months of your most recent bank statements

• International Applicant Supplement

The deadline for completing the financial aid application, including relevant supplemental documents, is Feb. 16, 2025.
